James is a coach, facilitator, consultant & writer. For nearly 25 years, James has worked in leadership roles across the media, education and L & D sectors. Through his work, James empowers clients to improve leadership & transform performance; he works collaboratively to solve developmental challenges and helps clients bring about changes with renewed energy, purpose, balance and freedom.
First and foremost, James’s approach is to build partnerships founded on trust and optimism. Through this, James fosters greater levels of self-knowledge and increased professional effectiveness in both individuals & teams.
James is known as an insightful & empowering thought partner with an empathetic, intuitive and analytical style. He applies a unique skillset and a deep understanding of people and emotions to help organisations discover different ways of working and being. Often this is through delivering bespoke programmes to teach the particular emotional & interpersonal skills needed for individuals and teams to flourish.
James’s consultancy work is increasingly focused on collaborating with leadership teams to innovate inspiring developmental programmes & change strategies that ensure employee wellbeing is central to organisational priorities.
As well as a first degree in Philosophy, James holds a postgrad in Coaching Psychology from the University of London’s world-renowned Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck. He is also a qualified teacher and member of both the Association for Business Psychology and the Royal Society of Arts Coaching Network.
