Tim Arthur
Executive Coach, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor & Business Leader
Tim Arthur is a dynamic executive coach and psychotherapeutic counsellor whose career spans boardrooms, creative industries, and the world of human development. Blending psychological depth with real-world leadership experience, he helps individuals and organisations perform, communicate, and connect at their best.
A qualified coach and psychotherapeutic counsellor, Tim trained extensively in Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This combination gives his coaching a unique edge — enabling clients to go beyond surface-level strategy and explore the deeper patterns that drive behaviour, motivation, and leadership style. His approach is practical, insightful, and results-oriented: rooted in evidence-based psychology but focused on real, measurable change.
Before moving into coaching full-time, Tim built an exceptional leadership career. As CEO of Time Out, he transformed the iconic media brand from a print institution into a thriving global digital platform, expanding its reach across 40+ cities worldwide. Later, as CEO of the Royal Academy of Dance, he led one of the world’s most respected arts organisations through a period of modernisation and global growth. Earlier, as Creative Director at Virgin Money, he pioneered a human-centred approach to financial services — demonstrating how creativity, empathy, and innovation can powerfully coexist in business.
Tim’s passion lies in developing people. He has designed and delivered coaching and training programmes across sectors, focusing on leadership development, communication skills, resilience, and emotional intelligence. He also has a specialist interest in performance anxiety and public speaking coaching, helping leaders and teams build confidence, clarity, and presence under pressure. Whether working one-to-one with executives or facilitating group sessions, his energy and empathy create a safe yet challenging environment for growth.
A lifelong learner and passionate advocate for upskilling, Tim believes the best leaders are those who stay curious about themselves and others. His work bridges psychology and business, supporting clients to lead with authenticity, think creatively, and build cultures where people thrive.
At his core, Tim helps people do what great leaders — and great humans — do best: connect, inspire, and grow.
