IRA MORRIS , MSc

Executive Coach and Leadership Advisor

Ira works with executives and senior leaders at pivotal moments, such as growth, transition, and increasing complexity and uncertainty. His clients come to him when the challenge is less about knowing what to do; more about how to lead through it.

He creates a calm, trusted space where leaders can think clearly, surface what is usually left unsaid, and navigate dilemmas and difficult decisions with insight and confidence. Clients value his presence, psychological depth and ability to challenge thoughtfully without judgement.

What distinguishes Ira is the combination of psychological depth and substantial in-company regional and global leadership experience. Before establishing his independent practice, he spent over a decade at Genzyme, serving as European and Asia-Pacific Head of Leadership and Organisation Development. He partnered with senior leaders and their teams in the R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial functions, navigating growth, transformation, and organisational change.

Over the course of his career, Ira has worked across life sciences, financial services, FMCG, technology, consulting, and media, from start-ups through to large multinational organisations. Earlier in his career, he worked as a business psychologist at Pearn Kandola, an Oxford-based boutique firm of business psychologists.

Ira’s focus:

  • Supporting senior leaders navigating growth, complexity, and organisational transition

  • Helping expert and specialist leaders broaden their leadership repertoire

  • Developing leaders who need to lead effectively across organisational, functional, and cultural boundaries

  • Partnering with leadership teams to strengthen alignment, resolve tension, and improve team and organisational effectiveness

Executive and Team Coach: Ira has worked as an executive coach for over twenty years - first as an in-company coach, then for the past decade as an external one. He works with individual executives, leadership teams, and Executive MBA students. He is accredited to use a wide range of psychometrics covering motivation, personality and leadership effectiveness, and has trained in the Immunity to Change approach with Harvard Professors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey.

Leadership Advisor: Beyond coaching, Ira partners with senior leaders on complex organisational challenges, particularly in growing or changing businesses. Ira enables leadership teams to align, resolve tensions, and perform with commitment.
