Dean is a high-performance senior leader and coach with 10 years’ experience working in elite sport to support Gold medal winning Olympic and Paralympic athletes. His career started working on the frontline with athletes and coaches as a psychological skills coach, helping athletes develop psychological strategies to deliver elite performance success under the supervision of Professor Steve Peters using the ‘Chimp Management’ model.
Following this, Dean has worked across several sports, including Great Britain Taekwondo, British Canoeing and British Shooting, in Senior leadership roles, using his coaching skills to lead teams of people to deliver successful programmes and finding a performance edge. His experience has seen him develop a unique coaching method for working with highly exceptional individuals to support them with personal and organisational goals.
Dean’s recent experience has seen him work in corporate settings with senior executives and organisations including leadership team development, culture strategy and executive coaching to support organisational excellence. Dean is a member of the Association for Coaching.
Outside of sport and corporate work, Dean will be found drinking strong coffee, physically challenging himself through CrossFit and reading books on learning, human excellence and leadership.
