Job Purpose

We are looking for self-motivated, insightful, forward-thinking individuals with a genuine passion for leadership psychology. Your work with us will be varied, offering depth and breadth as you assist on projects working with individuals, teams and organisational cultures with the purpose of making the world of work better for all. You’ll be involved in multiple aspects of the business and in particular the digital aspect of the business. You will be mentored throughout the process, with the opportunity to lead on certain areas if you have the drive and initiative to do so. Digital marketing - skills required

  • We are looking for a highly tenacious individual who will provide ongoing support to the digital marketing of the company, by assisting with audience tracking, social media strategy, website updates, and other ongoing initiatives.

  • We are looking for an individual to drive our social media and streaming engagement with best practices, new digital tools, and platform optimisations in line with our business direction.

  • Find, engage and develop relevant target audiences via digital platforms.

  • Compiling reports for marketing and analysis.

  • You must have experience (or are willing to learn) using/maintaining social networking sites & streaming services • (Instagram, Mailchimp and LinkedIn).

  • Have an understanding and experience of using Google Analytics and other Social Media Analytics.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Canva and Photoshop

  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Skills and Personal Characteristics

  1. BSc Psychology, Psychotherapy, Organisational Change/Behaviour or Behavioural Economics.

  2. Proactive, self-starting and forward thinking – and we’ll need to see this from you early in the application process

  3. Someone who can hold your own, not a shrinking violet

  4. Digitally savvy

  5. An interest in coaching and leadership development

  6. Equally comfortable working on your own or as part of a team

  7. Excellent relationship builder. Curious, creative and a divergent thinker; balanced with a strong analytical mind. You’ll thrive on collaboration and execute diligently (coupled with a healthy dose of hedonism).

  8. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing skills and buckets of likeability.

  9. High appreciation of the aesthetics of good quality design (Prada not Primark)

  10. Business building skills: becoming an ambassador for The Work Psychologists, rolling up your sleeves to get things done and ability to flex as required to support a small office.

  11. Wired for continuous learning and professional development.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in setting up the digital strategy for The Work Psychologists – working with our Head of Content and SEO consultant

  • A lot of research: everything we do is evidence-based, so you need to be not only comfortable with research but genuinely keen to dive into the literature around a multitude of topics

  • Able to translate the research into relevant, useful insights for business leaders and CEOs

  • Writing and content creation: drafting blog posts, thought papers and resources for clients

  • Contributing to various assignments both in-house and for our clients

  • 3 days a week, working from home

  • Three months with the possibility to extend to six.

We are keen to keep the application process as clear and transparent as possible. The process will involve 3 stages.

Stage 1 – Send your CV and a short covering email to Sophie Tomlinson – In the covering email, tell us what motivates you about the opportunity. We’d also like you to write a short piece (max 500 words) on one of your favourite psychological concepts and how you would apply this to a leadership or organisational environment. The piece will need to be well-written, persuasive and a demonstration of your ability to research and translate this into digestible language.

Stage 2 – Applications will be short listed and the applicants that meet the desired criteria will be invited to complete an online psychometrics & provided with a brief to complete a task.

Stage 3 – Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a virtual interview (with our founder and another Associate) where they present the task that was set. We will also use this time to find out more about you and tell you a bit more about the role.
